SPECIAL AFFECT

The Chicago band was formed in 1978 by bassist Marty Sorenson and vocalist Franke Nardiello (aka Groovie Mann of THRILL KILL KULT), along with drummer Harry Rushakoff (Concrete Blonde) and guitarist Tom Hoffman, who was subsequently replaced by Al Jorgensen (Ministry). The group recorded a 4 song, 7” EP titled MOOD MUSIC followed by the full length album,  TOO MUCH SOFT LIVING (1980), all the while making quite a stir in the emerging Chicago "punk /new wave" scene, opening for such legendary acts as IGGY POP, THE PSYCHEDELIC FURS and JAYNE COUNTY.
